A beautiful sideboard manufactured by Ercol, a British company based in Buckinghamshire, that to this day is producing high quality and stylish furniture.
Made from solid beech and elm, this example was part of the Old Colonial range. It's manufacture dates back to the 1950s / mid-1970s.
This piece has been given a new lease of life by sanding the elm top to reveal its beautiful grain. Two coats of medium Georgian Oak Stain has been applied to both enhance the grain and protect the wood.
The base has been primed and finished in Cornish Milk Mineral Paint's 'Samphire' which is a beautiful deep green colour.
The sideboard comprises two cupboards and four drawers, one of which has dividers normally for cutlery. The two cupboards are fitted with a long shelf for easy convenience and there is ample storage too.
The original finish on the inside of the cupboard have been treated with an air-drying oil so it is all lovely, fresh and clean. The drawers have been painted to match the exterior colour.
This really is a statement piece that can take pride of place in a living room, dining room, kitchen or hallway.

This is a vintage piece that has had a long previous life. The base has been spray painted using the latest in HVLP spray technology leaving a flawless paint finish. Due two its age, minor imperfections that may be present which contributes to its character, charm and history.
