In case of doubt, apply one coat of\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAutentico Primer\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand leave to dry for 4 hours.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAPPLICATION:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e                                                                                                              \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eApply one coat of \u003cstrong\u003eAutentico Vintage\u003c\/strong\u003e, tinted to the same colour as your desired Volterra colour, with a roller. Leave to dry for 3 - 4 hours.\u003cspan\u003e                                            \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eOpen the tin of Volterra and stir well. This is a heavy bodied paint. In case the paint is too thick, add water (max 5%) making it suitable to be applied by brush.\u003cspan\u003e                              \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eApply one coat of Volterra keeping a wet edge.\u003cspan\u003e                                                            \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e4.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eWhen Volterra starts to dry, you will clearly notice that after 10-20 minutes, lighter patches appear. Smooth Volterra out with a stainless steel trowel or spatula. Keep the trowel at a 25-degree angle and do not apply too much pressure. You are now removing all existing brush marks.\u003cspan\u003e                                                                                                \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e5.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eLeave to dry for at least 8 hours.\u003cspan\u003e                                                                                    \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e6.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eWhen Volterra has dried completely, trowel again to reveal a shiny tadelakt-style finish.\u003cspan\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e7.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eWhen a matt finish needs to be obtained, sand with 600-grit sandpaper by hand and make the wall dust-free with a soft brush.\u003cspan\u003e                                                                    \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e8.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eApply two coats of Autentico Sealer to make water-repellent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eDue to the slaked lime content of Autentico Volterra, colour referencing is representative of colour but not the overall finish. Volterra dries fast, especially in summer time. To avoid Volterra drying faster than you can trowel smooth, we recommend working with two on larger walls and\/or during higher temperatures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe above is a general application description. By applying multiple colours wet-in-wet and merging them during trowelling, stunning effects are achievable. Always mix in a separate container total volume needed if you need to use more than one tin.
